Welcome to the Camden County Register of Deeds website. We invite you to browse through our site to learn how we can serve you. The Register of Deeds serves as custodian and manager of large numbers of public records. The General Statutes of North Carolina govern the Register of Deeds, who has the responsibility of protecting the integrity, completeness, accuracy, and safekeeping of these public records. Our office is committed to the proper enforcement of these laws as we strive to provide the highest level of customer service. We are always interested in your personal requirements, so let us know what we can do to improve this site for you. We are a small but very busy office, and our workspace is limited. We often have attorneys, paralegals, real estate agents, appraisers, genealogists, etc. using the office at the same time. We ask that each person be considerate of others working and doing research in the office, and help us provide an atmosphere in which we can all work. We look forward to seeing you in Camden County. You may call us with questions regarding anything to do with our preservation of records.
The Camden County Register of Deeds office in under construction. Be very careful when entering. We are hopeful of a completion date of August 2009 and double our current work space. At the present time all our land and vital records, plats, index books and our three desks, are in two rooms, which makes our office very crowded. We appreciate everyone’s patience and courtesy as we try to help you in every way we can. At this time the best entry is through the front of the Courthouse and following the signs.

We are open (except for Major Holidays) M-F, 8-5, with someone in the office all day. We do not take recordings after 4:30PM due to finishing the processing of the days work. We ask that both parties applying for a marriage license be in the office before 4:00PM
The charge for regular copies is $0.15 per page for copies made in the office, $0.35 per page for 11x17 copies and $1.00 per page for copies mailed
